Over the holiday season my sister hosted a
Girls Night Out and this tasty treat was the cocktail of the evening.
I’m not much of a drinker but when I do indulge it has to be something
Sweet and girly, you can’t go wrong with this cocktail.
I absolutely love tees. When you're in the office all week long and must adhere to a dress code there is nothing like a soft comfortable tee on a Saturday afternoon. One of my favorites is the Deeply Rooted logo tank. It's soft and fitted and proudly proclaims that my savior lives. My most recent purchase from Deeply Rooted was the Deeply Rooted Maxi Skirt, I paired it with a simple black tank and a jean jacket and I was out the door. Please pay Deeply Rooted a visit by clicking here.

I was talking to a friend a few months ago and she made a statement that stayed with me. She said "that's the good thing about living in
, you can live out your dream" so with that being said Dream Big Ladies, the possibilities are endless. America

This tee is slightly oversize and perfect for the soul chic., with a foil screen print that adds extra flair to the tee. This tee can be dressed up and worn with heels and jeans or paired with leggings and military boots for a casual Saturday.
There are several color options to chose from. My favorite is the taupe with a bronze print. More color options coming soon. To purchase go here

This year is going to be an amazing year for Soul Couture. I have so many great things planned. I'm currently working on my Spring and Summer tanks and tees and a limited quantity will be available soon. The new Spring and Summer Collection is going to be super cute and ultra feminine. Lace, ruffles, texture and a whole lot more. Have a wonderful Saturday.

Every year people set New Year resolutions and three months into the New Year most have already fallen off. Probably because they never really have a clear vision of what they are trying to accomplish. After I graduated from high school my best friends and I got together one evening and created a vision board. I taped mine to the back of my closet door to constantly remind me of what I wanted and what I wanted to accomplish. Years later I am still practicing that technique but instead of a vision board I use a journal and I carry this journal with me every where I go. Why? Because I never know when an idea is going to cross my mind or when I may receive a revelation from God. I also fill my journal with special quotes, bible scriptures, sketches and clippings from magazines. The visuals help me to keep my eye on the prize. I know that some will find this hard to believe but I visualized my engagement ring and I sketched it out in my journal and when my King proposed to me my engagement ring was almost identical to my sketch. The bible tells us in Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Then the LORD answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.’” God’s vision when written, gives you the inspiration to stay focused and concentrate on the business at hand until that vision has come to pass.
Not only should we visualize but we should speak our vision into existence. Proverbs 18:21 states that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Use your journal or your vision board to serve as a reminder to make positive affirmations. Be Prayful and seek God’s guidance to bring your visions to pass.
For those of you who are interested in creating your own vision board I’ve prepared a few tips to help you along the way.
Supplies you will need to create your vision board.
Magazines (make sure you have a wide variety so you won’t limit yourself)
If you’re going to take the journal route I suggest visiting your local .99 cents store. I prefer Michaels Arts and Crafts or Target. Both have some really cute options.
Lastly call some friends, prepare some tasty bites and make a party out of creating your vision boards. Accountability is important and making a party out of it will give you a chance to get together and socialize with other women who share your vision for the future.
This year I'm going to create a vision board in addition to my journal. I will share my completed vision board at a later date. If you have already completed a vision board and want to share your vision board with me please email me a picture of your vision board at email@example.com

Welcome to Soul Couture blog a place for the everyday woman to be inspired, uplifted and motivated to live her very best life. Three years ago when I launched Soul Couture (formerly Trendy Tee'z) it was solely by accident. I never intended to go into the t-shirt business it was something that just happen. My first love was actually designing custom stationery (which I still do from time to time) and I had hopes and dreams of launching a decorative pillow line (which I will accomplish eventually) and Soul Couture was going to earn me enough money to do so. Well, after a year into my accidental business I fell in love all over again. Not with creating t-shirts but with the friendships I was developing with women I had never met before and it dawned on me that I was beginning to live out my God given purpose. It is my belief that there is enough success out there for all of us so why not inspire, uplift and motivate another woman to live out her dream, what ever that dream may be. So here I am three years later with a new name and a new look and a new outlook on my accidental business. I'm ready to take this as high as it can possibly go and I'm ready to inspire and take as many women with me as I possibly can. As I stated before there is enough success out there for all of us so why not go out and get!
